Sigma Pi Phi – PGA Junior League Program

In 2016, the PGA of America and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity formed a national partnership to introduce as many children as possible to the game of golf, especially those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to be exposed to this wonderful game.

more than 300 children have participated in this impactful program

Locally, the Epsilon Omicron Education Foundation supports this initiative through the PGA Junior League (PGA Jr. League), the flagship youth program of PGA REACH. PGA Jr. League is designed to be recreational and developmental, making golf fun and accessible for all interested kids. The unique team format emphasizes collaboration over individual competition and creates a welcoming introduction to the sport.

Program Format
  • Six-week program consisting of golf instruction and team-based competition.
  • Open to boys and girls ages 6–13.
  • Sessions held at Kingwood Country Club, 1700 Lake Kingwood Trail, Kingwood, TX 77339.
  • Participants receive numbered jerseys and instruction from PGA and LPGA professionals.
  • Focus on mentorship, character building, and lifelong appreciation for the game.
Purpose & Impact

The program aims to promote diversity in junior golf while encouraging long-term mentorship between Sigma Pi Phi members and youth participants. By making golf more inclusive and approachable, the initiative helps build confidence, sportsmanship, and community connection among children from all socio-economic backgrounds.

Community Collaboration

The EO Education Foundation is proud to collaborate with PGA REACH and the PGA of America to offer this program. With shared values of youth development and community engagement, the partnership helps ensure a positive, lasting impact through the game of golf.
